We have one school rule “The essence of positive behaviour is the giving and receiving of respect”. Every member of the school community is expected to adhere to this rule.
Pupils are praised for good conduct and are encouraged and expected to behave well.
The school’s main focus is to encourage, praise and reward pupils within a positive ethos.
The school’s discipline policy adopts a positive approach aimed at establishing a pattern of self-discipline.
Positive discipline is about:
- A HIGH STANDARD OF BEHAVIOUR
- REGULAR ATIENDANCE
- PUNCTUALITY
- WEARING THE CORRECT UNIFORM
- HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS WORK
- COMPLETING HOMEWORK / CLASSWORK / COURSEWORK
These are very important areas where home and school must support each other in order ensure maximum progress for every pupil.
Working together, we can ensure that pupils achieve their full potential at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda.
Our Behaviour and Discipline policy is based on an ethos of respect and mutual respect. Please see our policy for further information:
