We place a high value on the contribution made by homework to our pupils education. Parental support in ensuring that time and facilities for study are essential . Pupils are given a Homework Diary, which they are expected to complete on a daily basis. Parents are requested to sign their child’s diary each week.

It is important for your child to become accustomed to working for the following length of time every night.

  • 1 hour for year 7

  • 1.5 hours for year 8

  • 2 hours for year 9

In the event of homework not filling the time allocated, your child should spend his/her time doing the following activities. (These should be noted in the front of the homework diary for the form tutor to check).

  1. Read a Welsh / English book

  2. Revise work

  3. Update homework diary

  4. Research work for project e.g. on the web

  5. Prepare for classwork

  6. Watch a Welsh language television programme
