Our annual 'Christmas Jumper Day' has once again raised a significant sun for 'Save the Children' - diolch bawb!

During December, staff and pupils have been supporting two important charities , 'The Rhondda Food Bank' and 'South Wales supporting the Homeless'. Form classes have been donating essential goods and it was an honour to donate our collections this week. Thank you to all pupils for your generosity.

Congratulations to Rachel Thomas-Evans and Ben Hughes, both from Year 7, on winning their individual races at a recent county cross-country meet. Both raced against pupils from at least 40 other schools - quite an achievement to claim first place. Well done both!

We extend our warmest congratulations to all pupils who were part of another excellent school production this year. It was a privilege to see such talent on the Park and Dare stage last week. Many thanks also to the pupils' families for your support during the preparation period and to all staff involved for their dedication. Thanks also to everybody who supported through the purchasing of tickets. Llongyfachiadau a diolch yn fawr i bawb!

Congratulations to Year 7 (W) on winning VIP passes to the opening morning of our new coffee shop last week, in recognition of the generous collection made to Children in Need by the pupils. Well done all!

Congratulations to the 16 Yr 9 and 10 students who have been selected to represent the Rhondda as part of Rhondda Schools' Rugby - nearly half the squad! We wish them all, and the rest of the squad, the very best during this year's Dewar's Shield campaign.
