The name might have changed, but the academic achievements of Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda pupils remain as high as ever. The first Year 11 pupils to sit examinations as Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda pupils secured some very pleasing results once again this year. Our pupils have performed to their potential and have secured some impressive grades, including Molly Rowlands, from Ferndale, who achieved an outstanding 14 A* grades!

For Head, Rhian Morgan Ellis, these results crown an excellent year at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda in all fields.

“It’s so pleasing to see our pupils succeed in realising their potential once again this year. Total commitment by all – pupils, staff and parents, has ensured this success once again. Congratulations to all and we look forward to welcoming our pupils back to the next stage of their learning pathway soon.”

On behalf of the Board of Governors, Chair Mr John Bryant said, “It was such a privilege to be in Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda today when the results were handed out to our pupils. To see so many happy faces was a delight. Many thanks to our team of talented and dedicated teachers and congratulations to the pupils who have done so well.
